LEGISLATIONS AND REGULATIONS APPLICABLE IN WORKSHOP
1.FACTORY ACT 1948 *Factory act 1948 was passed by the constituent assembly on August 28,1948. *This act received the assent of Governor General of India on 23 september 1948 and came into force on April 1,1949. Objectives of Factory Act 1948 *The working condition in factories,to regulate health,safety welfare and Annual leave and enact special provision in respect of young persons,women and children who work in the factories. 2.EMPLOYEES STATE INSURANCE ACT 1948 *It aims to protect employees against the impact of sickness,maternity, disablement and death due to employment injury and to provide medical care to the insured persons and their families. 3.THE PAYMENT OF WAGES ACT 1936 *The main objectives of the act is to ensure regular and prompt payment of wages and to prevent unauthorized deductions and arbitrary fines from the wages.
